Example quotation. VAT is off until you turn it on.
A quotation uses the same business details, client, lines, and template as an invoice. The heading on the PDF says Quotation. You can email that PDF or download it.
Open the saved quotation and press Convert to Invoice. That creates a new invoice with the same lines. The quotation stays where it is.
- Create a free account and complete the company name, phone, and email.
- Create a quotation, add the client and the lines, and send the PDF.
- When the work is approved, press Convert to Invoice and send the invoice.
- Turn VAT on only if the business is VAT registered. See the VAT invoice page.
Same layouts as invoices
Trade and workshop layouts are described on the Trade and workshop invoice page. Freelancers can start from the Freelancer invoice page. Both work for quotations and invoices.
