Choose the Trade template for builders and contractors, or the Workshop template for mechanics and repair. Both are in the same free app. You can set one as the default and still change it on a single document.
The PDF prints your company name, phone, and email, plus the address and logo if you add them. It also prints the client, the invoice number, the issue date, the due date, each line, and the total.
- Put labour and materials on separate lines so the client can see what they are paying for.
- Set the currency symbol to R in your business profile.
- Leave VAT off unless the business is VAT registered. The VAT invoice page explains that.
- Email the PDF from the document, or download it.

Create a free account. After you confirm your email, add the company name, phone, and email, then pick Trade or Workshop. Sign in any time after that to write the next invoice.
A quotation for the same job is on the Quotation template page. Freelancers who are not in a trade can use the Freelancer invoice page.
