These terms apply to Invoice Builder, the website at invoicebuilder.co.za. The site is aimed at small businesses in South Africa. Invoice Builder operates the site. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Free use
Invoice Builder is free. You can create unlimited invoices and unlimited quotations. There are no packages and no credit card. Create a free account, verify your email, and complete the business profile (company name, phone, and email).
The service may change, pause, or stop. A free account is not a promise that every feature will stay available forever.
Your invoices and VAT
You are responsible for the invoices and quotations you issue. That includes the client details, descriptions, quantities, prices, discounts, currency, payment terms, and any VAT you add.
VAT invoices are a feature: you choose whether VAT is on and what percentage to apply. Invoice Builder does not decide whether your business must charge VAT, does not check a VAT number, and does not warrant that a document meets every legal requirement for a tax invoice or any other document in South Africa or elsewhere.
Invoice Builder is a tool for preparing and sending documents. It is not legal, tax, or accounting advice. You should check your own figures and, where you need it, get advice before you rely on a document.
Acceptable use
Use the site for your own lawful billing. You may not:
- Send spam, or email people you have no proper reason to contact.
- Create fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful invoices or quotations.
- Try to open another user’s account, clients, or documents.
- Interfere with the website, the app, or the mail that sends verification messages and document PDFs.
Accounts
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for documents and emails sent from your account.
Invoice Builder may suspend or close an account that abuses the service, sends spam, is used for fraud, or tries to disrupt the site. You can stop using the account at any time. To ask for the account and its stored documents to be deleted, email noreply@invoicebuilder.co.za. How information is stored is described on the Privacy page.
